African honey

August 3, 2010

I made some ‘honey’ beads a few weeks ago in honour of the humble honey bee which is facing hard times in our modern world. Today I bought some local honey made by bees in a hive just off a busy street close to the Square Mile.  Delicious.  And proof that bees can be cultivated in the smallest and busiest of urban spaces.

African honey

Here are the  honey beads finally made into a necklace. It seems to have a very African feel to it.
